Mind-Body-Spirit

Tranform through this holistic perspective of The Self

Are you longing to include an intuitive, energetic and non-denominational spiritual perspective into your therapy journey?

I believe that we are all intuitive, conscious beings.

However, many of us have lost touch with this aspect of ourselves or learned to disregard it through cultural norms that value intellect over intuition.

Intuitive soul based therapy, as I like to call it, invites all the parts of us – mental, emotional, physical, energetic and spiritual – to be acknowledged, experienced and welcomed.

We will talk about and include the energetic, intuitive and spiritual parts of you that can be overlooked in traditional therapy. These parts inform who you are, how you show up in the world and I view them as another piece of the puzzle to help gain clarity, certainty, amusement and seniority, so you can create the changes you wish to see in your life.

This is a mind-body-spirit approach.

We will explore the current sense of your energetic/intuitive self and find ways to create and/or enhance this connection. I will offer you a variety of tools and techniques that include visualizations, somatic awareness skills, and meditations to tune into your energy and intuition.

As we welcome in and get to know all the parts of you, “new” information can emerge. You can apply this information to your day-to-day life and see what else is possible.

Other things I’d like you to know about how I will support you in your individual counseling sessions:

We will look at the whole self.

I hold in mind that we are intricate beings, and that means the mind, body, and spirit connection is important and honored.

No matter what brings you here, you are the answer.

We will cultivate an increased self confidence born out of genuine compassion, curiosity, empathy and love for yourself.

I will meet you where you are at with much warmth, curiosity and presence.

I believe that finding your own energetic and spiritual beliefs via Intuitive Soul Therapy can be transformational, yet this may come with some discomfort, and the best way to explore that is with a lighthearted presence.

There is a balance between traditional psychotherapy, and holding space for you to explore your personal belief system as it relates to the mind-body-spirit connection.

This means that in your journey of exploration, I will also hold in mind my foundations in contemplative psychotherapy, attachment science, and nervous system regulation.

Empathy awareness is a big part of the mind-body-spirit connection

Do you feel all the feels? Have you ever wondered if you’re an empath or been told by others you’re quite empathic, or perhaps too sensitive?

I believe empathy can be one of your superpowers. People who are “highly sensitive” tend to be extremely intuitive.

These spidey-senses, or ability to feel/sense the world around you can by overwhelming, and it can become hard to discern what is yours. You might wonder what is an intuitive knowingness vs a fear, what is yours or someone else’s, etc. – and it can all really weigh down your sense of well-being.

As Spider Man said, “with great power comes great responsibility.” I believe this means that you must also take great care of yourself if you feel all the feels. We are not meant to digest others’ emotions for them.

With empathy awareness, we’ll utilize meditations, visualizations, and teachings about your energetic body to help you discern between your stuff and others’ stuff.

We’ll find ways for you to clear your system and lighten your load, so you can tune into your highest self more and trust what is your truth!

Areas I can support you in:

Grounding

I can share with you different grounding tools to help support you in your growth and journey, deepening and supporting your sense of self and regulation into something bigger than you. Grounding includes various techniques to bring you – your thoughts, emotions and somatic sensations – into the present moment. Grounding can help regulate experiences such as anxiety, distressing thoughts and emotions, and flashbacks. It can help you tune into your present time knowingness.

Meditation & Mindfulness

These are tools to bring all of you into the present moment. I view meditation as a mindfulness practice, but almost anything can be a mindfulness practice. I don’t think meditation is for everyone, but mindfulness is. A mindfulness practice can include things like brushing your teeth – and only brushing your teeth. Not brushing your teeth while putting your laundry away or making your morning coffee. We know mindfulness helps regulate your nervous system to a state where you feel can feel good, calm and/or neutral. Please keep in mind, if you’ve experienced trauma, you may need to go slowly with a mindfulness practice. I can help you figure this out.

Transpersonal Perspectives

Transpersonal therapy aims to include your spiritual self to improve your overall quality of life. We’ll talk about your orientation to spirituality and how that lives in your daily life. This can include your sense of connection to something bigger than yourself, what is sacred to you, how you practice spirituality, and how to connect with your own curious soul-based self. We will use your unique spiritual perspectives to help support you on your journey.

Trusting Your Intuition

We’ll dive into explorations of what intuition means to you, how you access your intuitive self (if at all), and ways to support and/or improve that connection to your intuition. We’ll also explore how to discern between your intuitive voice and other parts that may be fear based and cloud the connection with your intuition.

Mind-Body-Spirit Connection

Our sessions together will include your entire being, and all the parts of you. No need to leave out your curiosity and understanding about spirituality, energy and intuition; and I get to do the same. I’ll bring all these parts of me into our work together. We can talk, experiment and play with your thoughts, somatic sensations and information, your spiritual understanding and intuitive knowingness to guide our work together.

Exploring Your Spiritual Truth

I will bring my innate curiosity to our sessions together to explore your spiritual truths. What do you believe? Where did these beliefs originate? Are there beliefs you’d like to deconstruct and deprogram so you can live with more freedom and choice to align to your present time state of mind and growth? All of this and more can be explored in our work together. This can be helpful to bring into the individual as well as the relationship spaces, if partners are interested in exploring this together.

Energy Awareness

You may have heard the phrase, “everything is energy,” and it is! We are energetic beings. We are able to feel our own and others’ energy. This is often overlooked or trained out of us. Many of us in American culture only live in our heads, and do not tune into the information we receive constantly from our bodies that are always tracking and feeling our and others’ energy. Have you ever walked into a room as two people are arguing, or sitting in punitive silence? You can feel it! You could cut the tension with a knife. This is your energy awareness. In our work together, we’ll explore if/how you currently tune into yours and others’ energy. We’ll explore how to utilize your energy awareness to support your therapeutic work, find ways to help you shift your energy, and ways to release others’ energy so you have more freedom to find your truths.

Empath Support & Boundaries

This is for clients who feel all the feels, have been told their too sensitive and/or already know they’re an empathic being and are looking for support and boundary work. I believe we’re all empathic beings, some of us more so than others. We will work to utilize the superpower of your empathy by recognizing the ways it serves you to feel others’ energy and emotions, while also creating and/or maintaining boundaries so you have the energetic space you need to be you! If you’re bogged down with others’ emotions, it can be challenging to know what you want, who you are, and what would best serve you.

Post Traumatic Growth

Post traumatic growth (PTG) is transformational growth after experiencing trauma(s). It is a theory that explains that people who endure psychological and/or spiritual struggle following adversity/trauma can often see positive growth afterward. Those experiencing PTG often notice a new appreciation of life, positive changes in relationship with others, new possibilities in life, personal strength and spiritual change. In our work together, we’ll hold in mind the possibility of PTG and how spirituality may be an additional puzzle piece to help you grow.

My Approach

I love, and am passionate, about intuitive soul based work because – like the rest of my therapy practice – this is deeply personal.

My life changed for the better when I tuned into my intuitive knowing, my higher self, and learned the tools to help me do this. It is some of the most subtly profound work I have ever done, and continue to do on a daily basis.

I delight in sharing this work with clients so you too may gain access to another layer of healing, growth, change, certainty, neutrality and seniority in your own life, understanding who you are on a deeper level, and trust even more deeply in the choices and decisions you make. This can be an additional piece of the puzzle to help to know who you are.

Next Steps

Taking that first step to contact a therapist is a big one. You may feel scared or uncertain about reaching out and asking for help. It takes strength and courage to advocate for yourself and your needs. Research has shown that one of the most important factors for successful therapy is the fit between client and therapist. In other words, you need to feel comfortable with your therapist and you need to “connect” with him/her. I offer a free 30 minute remote consultation so we can find out if we’re a good fit. I look forward to hearing from you.

Meeting Your Goals

It’s important to me that we are making progress in our time together.

Individual Session Pricing

I like to be upfront about cost and payment expectations for your therapy. I accept cash, check or credit card and payment is expected at time of service.

Individual sessions are $170 for 60 minutes.

I accept Kaiser insurance. I will check your insurance to verify your benefits and check any co-pay status. I do not accept any other insurance plans. For other insurance plans, I can provide you with a receipt for you to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement as an "out of network" provider. Depending on your health insurance plan, this can be a great way to receive some reimbursement.

If cost is a barrier to you, let me know. I reserve a limited number of reduced fee slots. Please reach out via email or phone before your scheduled meet and greet to let me know if you will need a reduced fee.  This will allow me to look at my current caseload to see if that's possible.  If so, we will talk about your financial and therapeutic needs and create a payment plan together that works for all of us.  If not, I can offer you referrals to other reduced fee options.  Please don't hesitate to ask!

Good Faith Estimate

* You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.

• Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
